Intrinsically safe systems design

Designing an inherently ignition-protected system in a hazardous environment requires meticulous management of the characteristics of each component used.

Cables, enclosures, electronic and mechanical components are analyzed individually and as a whole to verify that they cannot potentially store energy or reach temperatures capable of causing ignition of the explosive atmosphere, even in the case of potential failures.

The analysis is mainly performed theoretically at the time of design, however, supplementary laboratory testing (such as spark ignition testing, thermal testing, or UV and mechanical testing of materials) is often necessary to ensure an acceptable margin of safety.

We follow every stage of design and issue all necessary analysis documents for verification of compliance with technical standards.

Certified quality production

Mass production of devices is carried out under ISO 9001 certified quality system. Specific procedures for ATEX and IECEx products are present in the quality system.

We are able to manufacture devices intended for hazardous environments for which a surveillance regime is required in accordance with Annex IV of EU Directive 2014/34.

We have a complete batch and serial number traceability system for components and assemblies, all the way to the finished product.

Special processing

We carry out coating (conformal coating) and resin processing also under vacuum.

Through our partners, we perform injection molding processing of reinforced polymer enclosures with anti-static additives, keypads with coatings against charge buildup, and other enclosures that provide pollution control of the environment in which electronic components work.

With extensive experience in the design and manufacture of control, supervision, and protection systems for industrial process automation, laboratory, remote control, and IoT, we are able to build complex systems and products even for applications that have high criticality, such as environments where explosive atmospheres are always present.
